Martinez, Main Street Quilts and Me

Main Street Quilts is a destination shop.  Susie has a wonderful selection of fabric in two large rooms. On Saturday, June 28th. we had a fun class designing our one-of-a-kind jackets.  The formal title is Designer Collection Jacket, and we had fabric collections from multiple designers.

Barbara had to watch her back with her Yummy Asian Fabric. I think she was designing two jackets at the same time, since I seem to remember reviewing blue fabric at the beginning of class.

Dorothy showing her latest creation! Click on the photo to enlarge it for a better view of this Australian and African inspired jacket.  If you want to view Dorothy's project up close and personal, you may want to visit the Diablo Valley Quilter's Guild meeting.

The ladies meeting in Martinez for a Designer Collection Jacket class on Saturday had a ball! Jean and Cheri shared a love of purple and blue fabric.  They also had large tote bags with sparkle embellishment.....hubba, hubba!

Grace putting her lovely flowers away.  I didn't catch them in the photo, but in Grace's stash, she has a group of large (4 inch plus) flowers that will find their way into her design.

Noralee (a.k.a. Teacher's Pet) was fearless in her design process. I can't wait to see the finished jacket.

Don't forget to send me pictures of your finished projects so that I can post them. And by all means, enjoy yourselves!
